It's not goodbye it's see you later!

Yep, there we are again...

It's been 49 days since I wrote something on this blog. It's time to tell you all some things that have been happening over the last month and a half.

Let's start with the end of June. I took all my exams and as you could read in my previous blogpost, that wasn't a very happy time for me!

The last week of June I did a lot of things. First of all, I had my Goodbye-party. I organized the party in my local youth house (JH Tongeluk). It was a loooot of fun, I made a bunch of cupcakes and a lot of my friends came by to party! Thanks to everyone who was there and helped me, I really appreciated all of your help!

The day after my party, I graduated from high school! I already knew I passed my year, but still, the ceremony and everything around the whole graduation-thing was lovely! I thank my school a lot for doing what it has done in the past 6 years. It has made me who to who I am today.

Then I did two festivals. Firstly, Couleur CafĂ©. I went there one day and it was a lot of fun. I did the festival entirely for free as I got the ticket from a friend (THANK YOU NOUKIE) and my mom gave me some money to spend (THANKS MOM). The second festival I did, was Rock Werchter. I went there to work as a volunteer on The Hive Camping Ground. Therefore I also went to this festival entirely for free, as I didn't need tickets and as volunteers we got all the food and drinks for free! The two days I was there, were probably one of the most fun things I did in July.

After Rock Werchter, I started cleaning up my room. If you know me well or you have ever been in my room, you know that I like to collect a lot of different things and I like to hang random things onto my walls. This is basically the result:
I put all of my important stuff in boxes!
And it looks nothing like my room!
This is nothing like my 'old' room. It's the same room, but it just doesn't feel the same anymore. My room and I had a beautiful 'Goodbye' and therefore I will not be spending any more time in there. It took me 5 days to fill 6 garbage bags and clean up 3 kilo's of dust. My two favorite walls are still there as I put a lot of effort into making them.

Besides all the emotions about my room, I've also got some other things to tell you. I'm currently working a job in the C&A! If you're not from around, it's a clothing shop! Thankfully I got to work there, otherwise my money would be limited, which means my gap year would be less fun! I thank all of my co-workers, because they were all so kind for me and I learn new things every day! As I need to work there next week, from Tuesday to Friday, all day long, this Saturday was the last day I could go buy stuff! I finally got all my presents settled and got the last essentials (such as new shoes, some clothes etc.).

We also had a family party, to say goodbye to some of my cousins, aunts and uncles:

I would say, this is basically every thing I need to tell you guys. But then I would be skipping an important something.
As you may or may not know, my best friend is Io. She is the most wonderful person I've ever met and she has proven it by giving me the best goodbye-present, I could ever wish for! (I actually wished for it, and she made my dream come true). Basically I told her one day that I would love to get letters from all of my friends. And she worked so hard, setting up a Facebook-group and pushing my friends to write all kinds of beautiful things to me. That's all I could ever wish for! I'm sure I'll be reading those letters over and over again! Therefore I THANK all of my friends for putting effort in writing letters, it means sooo much to me! And an even bigger THANK YOU to my bestest chummy Io. She learned my something very important for my departure: "it's not goodbye, it's see you later"

And therefore I would like to leave it here and say to you all: SEE YOU LATER!

Thank you for being in my life and I hope to see you in a year!

Today: 6 days before departure!

Lots of love (for the last time from Belgium),
Justine

PS: I love you all and I thank you for everything you have done for me!
