Hyelloooh! Time goes fast when you're having fun! I've been here for almost 7 months, WHAAAT?! I must admit that this week was "just another normal week", but even though I did a few fun things!
On Monday in gymnastics, we got our costumes since our first show is next Saturday! It's not like a regular costume, since it consists of leggings, with see-through parts and a black top. There is a blouse as well, but we didn't get that one yet. Our shows will be filmed, so I'm guessing that it'll be possible for all of my friends in other countries to see it as well (#probablyonyoutubeorsomething) :).
Tuesday was a regular day at school, from 8-14, BUT we had to be back at school at 19 for a lecture about something biotechnology-ish. Our class had to sell cake, to gain money for our trip to Iceland, soooo I invited Kristiane after school and we decided to go shopping for some things and make a chocolate cake. Let's say that apparently we were not the best bakers, and it did not really go as expected... BUT WE MADE A CAKE AND IT TASTED DECENT.
After baking the cake, we invited Karoline as well, so we made pizza (which went better than making the cake tbh) and had dinner together with Signe and Marianne. Afterwards we drove back to school for the lecture. Kristiane and I had a loooot of fun during the lecture since we died laughing about something stupid and couldn't stop... Oh well...
Wednesday was a "long" day at school and after school Kristiane came over and we watched some YouTube together.
On Thursday we had another "long" day and when I came home, I went to Netto (supermarket) to buy some conditioner. Aaaaand when I got there, all of a sudden I found like a million cute things that I had to buy. So I bought all of that with my bankcard and when I came home, my card was gone. I searched through all my pockets and the bag, BUT I COULDN'T FIND IT. I was thinking like "maybe I dropped it, maybe I forgot to take it out of the thing in Netto?" so Signe drove me back to Netto and I RAN back into the store and screamed "DID YOU FIND A BANKCARD" and LUCKILY they found it. I don't think I've ever felt that relieved before!
On Friday after school, Kristiane came over again and she "helped" me pack my bag because I was going to Tommerup to a YFU-thing, fastelavn. This can be compared to Carnaval, kind of. The event was for all the YFU-students in Zone 3, so not everyone was there, but we were about 20. When we got there, we had to dress up (I was dressed up as Pikachu) and me and 2 others had to go downstairs and draw cats on a barrel. We had no clue why. We had dinner and afterwards we went downstairs where the barrel was now hanging from the ceiling and we did something that is called "slå katte af tønden", which literally means "to beat the cats off the barrel", where we had to beat the barrel with a bat until it broke and all the candy that was inside it, fell on the ground.
Then we played some group games, which were a lot of fun! We played this one thing where everyone had a balloon tied to their food and we had to pop other people's balloons by stepping on them. VERY EXHAUSTING, BUT A LOT OF FUN! We spent the night at the YFU-house in Tommerup and the next day we got up early. Some Danish people, who are going on exchange next year were there and we played some games with them and to tell them how awesome it is to be on exchange! They had to get interviewed and have languagetests taken and things like that.
We took the train back around 1pm and when I got home, Mette and Mathias were here!
I spent the rest of the day making a math assignment and in the evening we watched TV together.
Today we spent the day at Andreas' and Sascha's. Now I'm home and ready for another week of school & gymnastics (FIRST SHOW ON SATURDAY, WOOPWOOP!)
Lots of love,
Justine
P.S.: Thanks to all the volunteers who made this weekend a great weekend!
